08 Sony Brand Refresh

The proposal for the brand refresh is a collaboration with Ramune, the popular soda drink in Japan that is often associated with summer.

Summary

I thought the colourful packaging of Ramune is a strong contrast with the traditional black and white Sony branding. This will rebrand the corporate as more bright and lively than it has ever been. I have drawn inspirations upon how the word ‘pop’ can be utilised in a versatile way. Thus, there is a strong image of bubbles and retro-styled colouring. The rebrand will include recolour, re-package of the Sony products and website. I selected four colours - blue, green, pink and yellow - as the main rebrand colours along with a cream yellow which is utilised as background most of the time. The retro style correspond to the flat colours on the Ramune bottle packaging.
